“On 3rd october 2010, there was a fault in Baglihar Plant operation and whole unit had come to a standstill. Many parts of Northern India were reeling under darkness. Maintainence engineers present had tried hard to rectify the fault but failed to run the unit. The whole unit was shut. I was in Srinagar & I got a message from my boss to arrive at power plant urgently but whole city was under curfew. I was then picked up on instructions of MD at 1:00 am in the night. We reached the site & rectified the fault within an hour. It was one of the biggest achievements of my career. I got an appreciation letter from Managing Director”.
